Rocna Mk II Anchor Stainless Steel – Ultimate Holding Power & Fast Setting
The Rocna Anchors range of popular boat anchors has been expanded with the development of the new and improved Rocna Mk II stainless steel anchor. Based on the original Rocna design pattern, the Mk II refines and upgrades every element for increased holding power, fast setting, and strength, making it the ideal multi-purpose anchor for boats from 4m to 26m and up to 60 tonnes.
Peter Smith, lifetime sailor, boatbuilder, and designer of the Rocna Anchors range, has been working on this new anchor for years. “I want to keep improving anchoring for boaters by applying good engineering fundamentals and modern manufacturing methods,” said Smith. “The original Rocna is a superb anchor and well proven – the question was always how we could improve it.”
The Rocna Mk II anchor builds on the original Rocna’s reputation for quick setting and secure holding power. It incorporates patented technology shared with the Vulcan anchor, including the I+V™ shank, making the Mk II the toughest of all Rocna anchors.
Innovative features include an all-new patented roll-foil, a sculpted variation of the original roll-bar, designed to improve self-righting behaviour and help the anchor set deeper with more holding power. The fluke has been optimized for greater surface area and improved weight distribution, giving your boat unmatched security even in challenging seabeds.
