Mercury 22-888958001 Flush-M Quick Flushing Plug Replacement

The Flush-M Mercury is specifically designed to permanently replace the OEM flush plug on late model Four Stroke Mercury Outboard Engines.

Its unique features simplify repetitive engine flushing and are a must-have for single and multiple-engine boats alike.

Available to order in black and white.

Replaces Mercury part: 22-888958001

Includes - 90 Degree swivel elbow attachement for larger V8 Mercury models to eliminate possible hose kinks that may restrict water flow during the flushing process. Permanently replaces the OEM white straight fitting.

Suits Mercury engines:

Verado, Pro XS, FourStroke, and SeaPro series (75hp - 500hp)

The Flush-M can be permanently installed to your engine cowling by following these simple steps:

  1. Remove the original OEM plug from the engine cowling.
  2. Unscrew the OEM plug from the 3/4" female hose receptacle.
  3. Separate the OEM plug from the lanyard by rotating it in a counterclockwise rotation until free.
  4. Fit the Flush-M to the lanyard and the 3/4" female hose receptacle.
  5. Install the Flush-M back into the engine cowling, securing it in place with a 1/4 turn in a clockwise rotation.

*If required, use an 11/16" spanner on the male quick connect collar for added leverage. Do not overtighten past 1/4 turn.

Your engine is now ready to be operated or flushed.
To flush, simply remove the flushing cap and attach a hose to the Flush-M utilizing the included quick connector. Refit the cap upon completion.
